CLIPPER CANCER

This picture depicts the attitude, demeanor, and the story of the year of Baron Davis. LAZY! Baron has been a cancer ever since be has stepped on the court for the Clippers. I understand he felt like he got wronged by E. Brand, and he did, but that is something that you have to play through. You didn’t get Brand Baron but you did get Z. Randolph who is just as athletically as talented as Brand.

Baron you had the pieces and the talent but you didn’t have the heart or drive to will your team to wins. You came to this team to be the face, to be the leader, and to be the savior. And what did you do? You said we will be better next year with twenty games left to play. You said we will work really hard in the summer and will be a good team NEXT YEAR.

What about the last twenty games of this year Baron ?!?! It was the perfect time to get some cohesiveness and chemistry with your teammates because the playoffs were out of reach so we had nothing to lose and what did you do Baron? You said, we will be better next season cuz you were to lazy to work your ass of at the end of the season. You are promising to get the whole team in the gym in the summer to work on the team chemistry but when summer comes around you will show your true colors when you are being a “producer for a movie” rather than working with your team in the gym.

Cancer spreads and if it spreads to E. Gordon and A. Thornton our team won’t sniff the playoffs for another ten years. Baron needs to go! He is like Marbury for the Knicks this year. If we can’t move his contract I say hold him off the court and out of practices like they did to Marbury. The team will be so much better for it in the long run.

The Clippers need to realize they made a mistake. They need to cut their loses and move on. The Clippers organizations argument would probably be, well we need to keep him because Baron puts people in the seats. And trust me this is false. If you have been to a Clippers game this year you can attest to this (with the quarter filled Staples Center for each Clippers game) that Baron Davis isn’t selling tickets any tickets for the Clippers.

So fun fact of the day: IF YOU HAVE A CANCER, CUT IT OUT!!!

Clippers - Timberwolves

This game was a disgrace. I know that the Clippers were missing Camby and Kaman in the middle but no one on the Clippers could box out or get a rebound. If it was Al Jefferson ripping down all these boards I could say, "Ok, Jefferson is a beast and I understand" but no it was Kevin Love, Mike Miller and Craig Smith. Yes, Craig Smith!!! How terrible is that??? I bet none of you even know who Craig Smith is. He is an under sized power forward that should not be getting boards over Brian Skinner and DeAndre Jordan. And the same goes for Kevin Love he should not be all by himself getting rebound. You guys need to box out!!!

It's just frustrating to see a team that has clearly less talent on the court beat your team because the other team out worked them. And this is the case tonight for the Clippers. The Clippers just got out worked. I thought the Clippers were going to play with some heart for the last couple games because they played with heart against the Hornets and Lakers but I was wrong. They got out worked tonight and it was pretty sad.

Another good game for Eric Gordon shooting over 50% form the field and from 3 point range. He had 28 points, 4 boards and 3 assists. Also Skinner went for 16 point and 14 boards which was nice off the bench but he needed more cuz the T-wolves are small inside and we didn't take advantage of it. Clippers lose 87 - 77.

Clippers - Lakers Recap

The battle of the Staples center! And yes in the end it was a battle! The Clippers were down pretty much this whole game and the Lakers thought it was going to be a walk in the park but that wasn't the case in the fouth quarter.

A game you think that the Clippers just might cash it in during the fourth quarter after being down by 10-12 all game to the Lakers who are just a better team than the Clippers and have more depth and talent. But that wasn't the case tonight either. The Clippers played with heart in the fourth quarter and actually seemed to want to win. They out scored the Lakers by 9 in the fourth quarter which is a pretty amazing stat because usually the Clippers get out scored big in the fourth quarter to lose the game. But the Clippers played with a hunger for a win and came up just short. But again it was really nice to see them battle and play with some heart. I hope that the Clippers can remember how it feels to play with heart and carry it over to next season because they have the talent but they just didn't have the heart this year.

L.A. Clippers - New Orleans Hornets Recap

So first I have to say the Clippers played hard and tough. They didn't give up and played every minute of the game. Usually the Clippers cash it in around the end of the third quarter but not this game and I am very glad that the Clippers played with some pride.
Chris Paul was just to much for the Clippers to handle. It is the first time that I have seen him play in person and I'm saying BELIEVE THE HYPE! He is a dribbling machine. He got to where ever he wanted to on the court when he had the ball in his hand. He is quick, strong, shoots well, can pass, plays defense, he is just an all around great player and is going to be a great player in the NBA for a long time.
Eric Gordon had another nice night. He had 25 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds in 41 minutes. He is going to be an all star in a few years. Everyone is saying how he is short for a 2 guard but he has the most blocks for any rookie guard in the league. His leaping ability, long arms and strength will make up for the couple inches he gives up to the taller guards.
The Clippers played as a TEAM this game and that was really nice to see for a change. This game was definitley a step in the right directionfor the Clippers. More game recaps to come...

Clippers – Hornets Preview

The Clippers have a big game tonight against the New Orleans Hornets. I am really excited about this game. For one reason, I will be at the game tonight and with eight games left in the 2008 – 2009 season this is the time where the Clippers can gain some momentum and chemistry to take into next season. The Clippers have all the pieces on the court to be a play off team but they just have to build the chemistry and buy into a system. They can take all their talent, create the chemistry and actually be a play off team next season.

Tonight is going to be a huge challenge for the Clippers but I feel that we can beat the Hornets. The Clippers will be without Camby, Collins and Ricky Davis while the Hornets will be without James Posey and Tyson Chandler tonight. David West is going to be a really tough match up for the Clippers. He is much quicker than Kaman and is way too much for Randolph to handle. I’m not sure how Dunleavy is going to cover him but if I were the coach I would start DeAndre Jordan on him because he has the length, quickness, and size to give him some trouble. Even with Jordan covering West we will still have to double him and give him some different looks to keep West unsure about what’s coming and who’s coming on the double team. The Clippers need to have good rotation tonight on the defensive end if they want to win the game.

Another interesting match up to watch is at the point guard position. Baron Davis is listed as healthy on the injury report and Mike Taylor has been playing amazing the last few games. Mike Taylor is not even close to the level of Chris Paul but I have no doubt in my mind that Taylor is going to make Paul work on both ends of the court. Taylor plays tough aggressive defense and can blow by you with his quickness on the offensive end of the court. I am pumped up to see this Taylor vs. Paul match up, it should be a fun passion packed match up all game long.

The Clippers need to work the ball inside tonight to Randolph and Kaman and they need to be smart with the ball. Randolph is a beast down low on the offensive end but when the defense collapses he needs to kick it would which sometimes he is reluctant to do and just forces up a bad shot. We need to have good ball movement tonight and hit the boards hard. We should have five guys fighting for rebounds on the defensive end of the court. To many times we leave it to one person usually Camby to grab all the defensive boards. We need to out rebound the Hornets tonight, have more assists and I have no doubt that we can beat them.

I’ll try to snap a couple pictures on my camera phone tonight at the game and put them on the page tomorrow with my recap of the game. And I am going to change the motto for the Clippers for the last eight games from, “Play Loud” to “Play Hard!” Let’s go out there at Play Hard tonight. GO CLIPS!!!
